Su actividad docente e investigadora se centra en los temas de valoración y creación de valor en la empresa, sobre los que ha publicado diversos libros y artículos como fruto de sus tareas de consultoría. Entre sus más recientes publicaciones, se encuentran más de una docena de libros en temas financieros relacionados con inversiones alternativas, valoración, opciones reales y finanzas corporativas. Asimismo, es autor de numerosos artículos publicados en revistas especializadas como Harvard Deusto Business Review, Harvard Deusto Finanzas y Contabilidad, Ideas Empresariales, Revista de Empresa, Estrategia Financiera, Journal of Institute for Management Accountants, Journal of Financial Education, Journal of Business Valuation y Business Case Review. Doctor en Economía por la Universidad de Barcelona.
